Modding a server power supply: DPS-400GB-2

Server power supplies can often provide a very high current at their 12V output therefore they are very attractive as power sources for amateur radio use. As these are switching mode supplies it is possible that they cause interference on some bands. Nevertheless, generally server power supplies are often cleaner then PC power supplies.

For amateur radio use we normally want a supply voltage of 13.8V or even 14V. I will describe here how to rise the output voltage of a Delta Electronics DPS-400GB-2 power supply.
